亚马逊网最近宣布一生要读100本书的名单。 从1813年的“傲慢与偏见”到1925年的“厉害的盖茨比”，到2013年的“生命不断”，超过了200年的文学时间。
网站主编萨拉尔森接受了很多采访，最让人印象深刻的是，这是手写推荐清单，希望选择不使用点击率分析等技术手段的书有代表性，可以将读者引进更多的书籍。
仔细读一下这个清单，其最大的亮点是可读性，比如有“厨房机密”，有“天生奔跑”，有“饥饿游戏”“金罗盘”的比如毛姆没有选择“人性的枷锁”而不是“月亮和六便士”的莎士比亚，但是大卫·伊斯 尤金·尼德斯……肯定不是西方正典的名单，但因为它与阅读本身相近，与风土人情相近，所以这个名单也许比它所经营的书更值得一看。
